Can I save credit or debit card details to my Online Registry account?

You can choose to save your credit or debit cards so that they are stored for future transactions. 

What you need to know

A maximum of three (3) cards can be registered. 

Card details are stored securely through the Department’s payment provider Westpac, who is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). 

How to save card details

You can save a credit or debit card for online transactions by:

  • Saving your card details during payment, or
  • Adding card details via the ‘Manage profile’ screen

To save card details during payment:

  1. Login to the Online Registry
  2. Select Payments tab
  3. Select the checkbox next to the forms you want to pay 
  4. Click Next
  5. Enter your card details
  6. Click Next
  7. Confirm payment screen displays
  8. Save card checkbox is ticked by default
  9. Complete the payment

The saved card will be available as a payment option next time you pay.

To add card details via the ‘Manage profile’ screen: 

  1. Login to the Online Registry
  2. Select Manage profile
  3. Scroll down to view Registered card details
  4. Click Add card
  5. Enter the card details

The saved card will be available as a payment option next time you pay.

Default payment method

When more than one card is registered a default payment method can be selected. Select the card to use for default payment from the Default Payment Method dropdown on the ‘Manage profile’ screen.
