Enhancements to Online Probate

From 24 June 2026, the following changes are be available for Online Probate. 

  • Request a Grant Reissue online - You can now submit a request online to correct typographical errors on a grant or update annexed documents, upload supporting documents, and track the outcome.
  • Executors/administrators within NSW can now appoint and lodge a reseal application via a Power of Attorney
  • Added inclusion of “leave reserved party” and “steps taken” details for reseal applications
  • Occupation field is added across all application types to support correct occupation printing on affidavit
  • Improved visibility of mandatory fields with clear indicators
  • Updated and clarified supporting document text and instructions to generate affidavit throughout the application
  • Added guidance instructing users that Reseal Letters of Administration (LOA) applications must be submitted via an offline process
  • Resolved issues to correctly display filing dates and seals on all uploaded documents
  • Fixed invoice generation issues when partial payments are made, ensuring the correct outstanding amount is shown
  • Made the upload affidavit requirement for representing a minor non-mandatory, allowing submission without this attachment upfront
  • Fixed broken links across the platform
  • Improvements made to display more refined names of documents uploaded
