What should I do if I receive a judgement of monetary order from an Australian Court or Tribunal?
If you have received a certified or sealed copy of a judgment or monetary order from an Australian court or tribunal, you will need to register the decision that has been made with the Registry to be able to enforce it.
What you need to know
When completing the form;
- You will be asked some basic questions about the form and you will need to enter party details.
- You must scan the original certificate of the judgment or order and save it as a PDF.
- If you are registering a costs assessment certificate, you must upload a completed version of UCPR 45 containing your supporting affidavit that will either set out the amount of costs paid so far or confirm that none of the costs determined in the certificate have been paid. If you are registering an adjudication certificate under the Building Construction Security of Payment Act 1999, you need to attach an affidavit (UCPR form 40) stating whether any costs have been paid, or any part of the debt has been recovered.

It may take up to 48 hours on business days for the court to formally grant your order. The approved order will contain a formal acknowledgement letter with a bar code and the certificate details entered in the online form.
Once your order has been granted by the court, the details will also display on the Online Registry website.
